Shoal Group (Shoal) congratulates Lockheed Martin Australia selection as preferred bidder for delivery of the Australian Defence Force’s next-generation sovereign military satellite communications capability under JP9102.

“We are very proud to be amongst Australian industry team members, contributing our expertise in Systems Engineering, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Modelling Simulation and Analysis (MSA) to support a robust solution for the Australian Defence Force,” says Shaun Wilson, CEO.

“Using a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approach, Shoal is recognised as implementing proven techniques for minimising risk, improving schedule achievement, and reducing rework in the program design phases,” continues Mr Wilson.

To support the program, Shoal’s team will comprise specialists in the implementation of model-based systems engineering on major defence programs. With more than 20 years’ working in large Australian Defence programs, Shoal also has experience working on US Defense programs, and with US Defense primes.

The Australian team includes Inovor Technologies, EM Solutions, AV-Comm, Linfox, Ronson Gears, Calytrix Technologies, Conscia, Clearbox Systems, DXC and Blacktree Technology to deliver ground and control segments and beyond for JP9102.
