Shoal paper accepted for the 19th International Conference on System of Systems Engineering
We are proud to share that Ashok Samalam’s paper has been accepted for the 19th International Conference on System of Systems Engineering (SoSE). It’s the leading conference for Systems Engineering professionals and, this year, is focused on the theme “AI Role in System of Systems Engineering”. Ashok’s paper is titled ‘An Algebraic Approach to Systems and Missions’ and investigates the application of Geometric Algebra to provide a framework to characterise Systems, System of Systems and Missions.
Ashok says that “Using the framework, it should be possible to develop tools to analyse Missions, decompose them into serial / parallel tasks, and allocate Systems and System of Systems to the tasks”.
Such analyses may be performed when embarking on a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to Mission Engineering.
The approaches described in Ashok’s paper contribute to Shoal’s significant capabilities in Mission Engineering across Defence, Space, Transport, Infrastructure and Energy, that we’ve developed over two decades.
Ashok is a Senior Systems Engineer at Shoal Group and a critical thinker in the application of Digital Engineering methodologies and approaches to analysing and building Defence capabilities. Congratulations Ashok.
The conference is a collaboration between INCOSE and the IEEE System, Man, and Cybernetics Society, and will be held in Tacoma, USA, 23 – 26 June 2024.
