Shoal sponsors Canberra Advanced Technology Forum

Shoal Group had the privilege of sponsoring the second Canberra Advanced Technology Investor Forum in cooperation with Brindabella & Co, held in Canberra on Thursday, 18 May. Organised by the Canberra Innovation Network (CBRIN) and hosted by The Australian National University School of Physics, the event showcased a wide range of innovative companies with future focused technologies addressing both defence and dual use applications – in quantum, in space, in cyber, in energy generation, in carbon capture.

The discussions were around how private capital contributes to the development of the advanced technology solutions that Australia needs for self-reliance and for resilience, with Shoal Head of Strategy, Graeme Dunk, presenting through a lens of the ‘strategic defence’ context. During an investor dinner at Hotel Realm, Shoal CEO, Shaun Wilson, continued this discussion around the dual use of defence technologies.

Shoal works across many dynamic spaces and this is no exception. We are pleased to be doing our part to make a positive contribution in presenting a strategic context, particularly within the defence and sovereign space, partnering with Brindabella & Co in their vision to to be the primary mobiliser of private capital for the advancement of Australia’s sovereign capability.
