Aerospace Concepts EA 2014

The Australian Defence Engineering Conference ran a two-day event in Melbourne as part of Engineers Australia’s Convention 2014. The theme for 2014 was ‘the contribution of engineering to Australia’s Defence capability’, including a wide range of speakers and varied insight into the world of Defence Engineering.

VADM Tim Barrett, Chief of Navy, opened the conference with his keynote address, discussing the progress on implementing the recommendations provided in the Rizzo review. A significant focus during the conference was future naval projects.

Chris French, Systems Engineer at Aerospace Concepts, presented the paper:

MBSE – A Methodology for Collaborative Requirements Engineering

The paper was written in collaboration with the Land Engineering Agency (LEA) within DMO. The paper, authored by Chris French & Michael Waite (Aerospace Concepts) and Dr Chanaka Aluwihare (LEA), is the result of a long relationship between the two parties and a demonstration of the trust and appreciation that exists.
