Model-Based Systems Engineering Symposium 2012
Aerospace Concepts’ Model-Based Systems Engineering team recently participated in the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Symposium 2012 in Adelaide over November 27 and 28 2012. This was the second MBSE Symposium and was a highly successful event working around the theme of ;’Concept Engineering – Identifying and analysing capability needs’. Aerospace Concepts was heavily involved, with participation in four presentations at the symposium:
- Theatre of Operations presented by Tommie Liddy, Michael Waite, Paul Logan & David Harvey
- The Best of Both Worlds CORE-based WSAF and DOORS-based Requirements Management by Roger McCowan & Michael Waite
- Modelling the Management of Systems Engineering Projects by Daniel Spencer and Shaun Wilson
Along with participation through these presentations, the Aerospace Concepts team also assisted in organising the extension day workshop for the INCOSE-endorsed Model-Based Conceptual Design (MBCD) Working Group, with Michael Waite as Co-Chair on this group.
Aerospace Concepts was also fortunate to host David Long, President of the Vitech Corporation, from Blacksburg Virginia who attended the Symposium as a presenter and provided valuable insight to the proceedings. During the Symposium, David was announced as being elected to the position of President for the 2013-2014 term of the International Council on Systems Engineering – congratulations David!
