Shoal at Aerospace Futures 2018 in Canberra – a proud sponsor for 10 years

Next week undergraduates, young professionals, and representatives from a plethora of companies will descend on the nation’s capital, Canberra, for Aerospace Futures 2018. The three-day conference (17 – 19 July) is the flagship national event of the Australian Youth Aerospace Association.
Shoal has supported Aerospace Futures since its inception ten-years ago through sponsorship and participation. This year, Chief Engineer Kevin Robinson and Systems Engineer John Furness will give a presentation titled ‘A Career Creating Capability from Complexity’ providing an insight into the world of systems and model-based systems engineering.
Additionally, our People and Culture Manager Mel Ciplys will be participating on the Future Workforce Panel held at the National Press Club, alongside representatives from BAE Systems, Rocket Lab, Defence Force Recruiting, and the Australian National University.
Shoal is inherently intertwined with Aerospace Futures, as many current, and former staff members were either Aerospace Futures delegates or committee organisers. This includes: Nikita Sardesai, Christopher Butt, Matthew Vella, John Furness, Mathew Gardiner, Karolina Leszczynski, and Conor MacDonald.
As some of us are former Aerospace Futures participants, we cannot wait to attend to meet the next generation of Australian aerospace leaders!
