Shoal proud to be a member of SmartSat CRC
The Minister for Industry, Science and Technology, the Hon Karen Andrews today announced that the Federal Government will provide $55M in funding with industry and other academia contributing cash and other support, the total investment of $245M.
The SmartSat CRC is a collaborative effort to solve major satellite system and advanced communications challenges that will provide enhanced connectivity, navigation and monitoring of our country and its resources.
CRC Leader Prof Andy Koronios said that the CRC will be the largest space-related R&D effort in Australian history. He went on to say that the CRC prototype space infrastructure will provide connectivity and earth observation to benefit the nation.
Shoal is proud to be one of the core members of the SmartSat CRC and looks forward to further developing our advanced systems engineering capabilities to support a range of CRC space missions over the next few years.
The impact of this research will be used to spawn new businesses creating export economic value and enabling the creation of new high-tech jobs for Australia.
