Student intern position at AITC: Satellite Ground Station

The Advanced Instrumentation and Technology Centre at Mt Stromlo Observatory, in partnership with Aerospace Concepts, is offering two summer intern positions for undergraduate or postgraduate students. These internships include a defined research project and tasks that contribute to the development of a highly skilled workforce.  Interns will be supervised and mentored by both Aerospace Concepts and Mt Stromlo engineering staff and will be required to work as a team in completing set tasks, meeting requirements and producing deliverables.

The objective of this internship is to contribute to the commercialisation and ongoing operation of the Small Satellite Ground Station located at Mt Stromlo Observatory.  This internship will provide two students with professional work experience in the fields of space systems analysis, business process planning and communications engineering.

Working locations will include Mt Stromlo Observatory and Aerospace Concepts’ office in Fyshwick, ACT. The internship will commence 3rd December – 28th February (excluding 24th December – 4th January).
