Shoal appoints Capability Leads across Space, Transport and Energy
Shoal Group has appointed three senior technical leaders to drive capability development and market growth across Space, Transport and Energy.
Shena Howell has been appointed as Space Capability Lead, Steven Wallace as Transport Capability Lead, and Mark Unewisse as Energy Capability Lead. The appointments strengthen Shoal’s leadership in three markets where complex, technology intensive programs demand rigorous decision making and an integrated view of systems, organisations and operating environments.
The Capability Leads will represent Shoal’s technical expertise in their respective markets, build market relevant capability across the company, identify emerging client challenges and opportunities, and lead the application of Shoal’s systems approach to deliver practical outcomes.
Shoal’s Head of Engineering, Matthew Wylie, said the appointments recognise the depth of technical leadership within the company and provide pivotal support for key growth markets.
“Space, Transport and Energy are complex, rapidly evolving markets. Clients are navigating interconnected technical, operational, regulatory and investment decisions, and Shoal is well placed to help them see the whole system, manage uncertainty and move forward with confidence,” he said.
“Shena, Steven and Mark bring strong technical leadership, market insight and a clear understanding of how our Systems Engineering, Modelling, Simulation and Analysis capabilities can be applied to the challenges facing these sectors. Their leadership will help us deepen client relationships, grow expertise across Shoal and create greater value for the organisations we support.”
Shoal’s Defence work remains the company’s largest and most established market, complemented by a strong track record across Space, Transport and Energy. The new Capability Lead structure will enable Shoal to build on this expertise, respond more strategically to emerging opportunities and bring greater market focus to the complex challenges facing these sectors, from safe and resilient space operations and future transport networks to the transition of energy systems.
The appointments reflect Shoal’s continued investment in the leadership, expertise and market engagement needed to support clients across Australia, New Zealand and internationally.
