Shoal Internship 2021 – Our search for candidates begins

Registrations of interest are open for Shoal’s Internship 2021. If you are a student studying maths or engineering at a university across Australia, this could be your opportunity to join our systems engineering team and help shape our future cities.

Our application process involves a video response to a question. Over previous years, we have themed our question around space – this year we are formulating a question around future cities and transport and infrastructure, a key market sector for Shoal. We’re seeking applicants interested in systems thinking ideation and innovation to inspire our cities of the future.

“We are interested in understanding the critical thinking skills of applicants,” says Nikita Sardesai, Systems Engineer and Internship Champion. “Our question to applicants won’t necessarily have a correct answer. We want to see a lateral and creative approach to finding a solution, that is cognisant of current technological demands and constraints, but bold in ideology.”

Penultimate year students in all engineering and maths disciplines are encouraged to register their interest. We will release our application question on 10 August, providing a three day turnaround time for you to prepare and submit your video response, along with your CV.

The Shoal Internship Program 2021 offers a 12 week, paid internship for two undergraduate students to join our team in Adelaide. The successful applicants will work closely with a technical supervisor to explore solutions and be mentored and supported by our team across the business, from senior systems engineers to our recent graduates.
