Shoal and Engineers Australia celebrate EWC Chartered Engineering Status

Engineers Australia and Shoal Group sign agreement

Shoal Group Pty Ltd today celebrated the agreement with Engineers Australia for access to its Engineering Workforce Credentialling (EWC) Program. The agreement with Engineers Australia signals Shoal’s commitment to maintaining engineering and professional standards.

Shoal has been partnering with Engineers Australia since July 2023 and the Engineering Workforce Credentialling Program is now embedded into the professional development and certification of Shoal’s engineering team.

“It has provided an excellent opportunity to continue developing a fully skilled workforce, with flexible training and skills development,” says CEO, Shaun Wilson. “We are proud to have supported more than 30 engineers to attain Chartered status in recent months.”

The agreement with Engineers Australia offers Shoal’s engineers a professional development pathway and support to attain Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status. It also provides access to an extensive library of resources and papers, opportunities to join technical colleges, societies, and interest groups, and the ability to attend networking and training events. These credentials are also critical as States and Territories introduce registration requirements for the provision of professional engineering services.

As part of the Engineering Workforce Credentialling Program, Senior Engineering Managers in Shoal, who are already CPEng, can receive support in attaining Engineering Executive (EngExec). Shoal also participates in the Engineers Australia Graduate and Emerging Leaders programs.
