Shoal congratulates Professor Stephen Cook and Roger McCowan on INCOSE Outstanding Service Awards

Shoal congratulates Shoal staffers Professor Stephen Cook and Roger McCowan for receiving Outstanding Service Awards. The announcement was made this morning at theĀ International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) International Symposium plenary in Adelaide as announced by INCOSE President Elect Garry Roedler. The award is presented to recognise INCOSE members who have contributed significant volunteer effort on behalf of INCOSE.

Professor Stephen Cook is a Fellow of INCOSE and was recognised for influential and visionary leadership over the past two decades, including roles as SESA Past President and Technical Director, being instrumental in the evolution of the INCOSE Australian Chapter, being a driving force in both local and international INCOSE events, and aiding in technical advancement of System of Systems Engineering.

Roger McCowan was recognised for his contributions to the Systems Engineering Society of Australia (SESA). He was National President from 2001 to 2003 and 2009 to 2010, Conference General Chair for the Systems Engineering Test and Evaluation (SETE) Conference in Melbourne, and has been editor for the SESA newsletter since 2008. His contributions have significantly advanced INCOSE’s professional status in Australia, serving as an exemplar for future generation systems engineers to follow.
