Supporting the next generation at Aerospace Futures 2016

The Aerospace Futures 2016 conference was held in Sydney this July, and marks the latest instalment in this successful program which Shoal has proudly supported since its inception in 2003. The multi-day event is a student-organised aerospace conference designed to provide university students access to representatives from both the domestic and international aerospace industry, and leading research centres. Speakers initiate discussion on current research, give understanding into career opportunities and provide students with their thoughts on the future of the sector. Aerospace Futures aims to cultivate future aerospace leaders and generate a community of individuals eager to make their mark in the aerospace sector. This year Shoal was represented by three of our own Aerospace Futures alumni, Nikita Sardesai, Chris Butt, and Matthew Vella, with Chris presenting to the delegates an insight into the diverse and challenging work Shoal undertakes. This year, Shoal was pleased to further support the students by offering two internship positions in our Flight Safety Analysis program. These internship offers are an acknowledgement of the high calibre of students and emerging leaders this conference attracts.

Shoal looks forward to continued support of the conference in the years to come.
