Switch on your creative thinking: Applications are now open for Shoal’s summer internship program
How would you power the entire city of Adelaide for one week using only 50 gigawatt-hours of renewable energy?
That’s the question we are asking applicants who apply for Shoal’s internship program this year. Shoal is offering a 12-week, paid internship opportunity for two talented undergraduate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) students to join our team in Adelaide.
“Our application process is quite different,” says Shaun Wilson, CEO of Shoal Group. “Applicants must partner up and submit a 60 second video to answer a question. This year’s question complements Shoal’s expertise in renewable energy infrastructure and will definitely pique their curiosity.”
The application question is designed to challenge, an opportunity to see how applicants might explore the problem space and approach a solution design – to switch on their creative thinking!
The successful applicants commence in November 2024. They are given a project to work on together, allowing them to develop skills around Model-Based Systems Engineering or Modelling, Simulation, and Analysis. While fully supported with an Intern lead, technical resources and weekly one-on-one mentoring, they will investigate a project and present their research and findings to the Shoal team.
Applications are open from today and close at COB on Monday 12 August 2024.
